ThinkUSAdairy.org Launches with Dairy Resources for Global Product Innovation

U.S. Dairy Export Council® Website Shows Capabilities of U.S. Dairy Industry to Supply World Markets

ARLINGTON, Va., February 19, 2015 - The U.S. Dairy Export Council® (USDEC) has launched ThinkUSAdairy.org, a new online resource tailored to the unique needs of global buyers, foodservice professionals and food and beverage manufacturers. Formulators and chefs alike now can keep up with ever-evolving trends and get ideas for using U.S. cheese and dairy ingredients in new and innovative ways.

The new website, which replaces the domestic-focused InnovateWithDairy.com, shares in-depth knowledge of the U.S. dairy industry and its broad portfolio of multifunctional ingredients. It also identifies consumer trends and how manufacturers can capitalize on the versatility of U.S. dairy ingredients to develop on-trend applications.

"The strengths of the U.S. dairy industry can provide food and beverage manufacturers with the resources to bring innovative products to market on a global scale," said Tom Suber, president of USDEC. "This new site offers a valuable tool to help make innovation happen."

Other elements of the new site include:

  • Nutrition insights detailing benefits of dairy in meeting consumer needs
  • Hundreds of recipes and formulations to help stimulate application ideas
  • Searchable database for suppliers of U.S. dairy products
  • Product information, technical materials, marketing trends and video content

"The U.S. dairy industry has become a premier global supplier of dairy ingredients since USDEC was formed 20 years ago," Suber said. "Thanks in large part to the commitment of our more than 100 member companies, the United States is now the world's largest single-country producer of cheese, butter, skim milk powder and whey ingredients."

USDEC.org Redesigned to Better Serve Members

In addition to providing an audience-focused site dedicated to help companies find success using dairy, USDEC also has redesigned usdec.org to better serve its members and the broader U.S. dairy industry with practical tools and information.

The revamped member/supplier site offers several new features, including:

  • The U.S. Dairy Exporter blog, dispensing market analysis, research and news to subscribers' inboxes
  • Interactive charts, enabling members to drill deep into trade and market data and download the results
  • User-friendly access to a library of research reports that identify threats and opportunities in global dairy markets
  • Fast, members-only access to USDEC staffers and their areas of expertise

Both sites are built to provide fast, practical and user-friendly business information while providing an interconnected look and feel. The launch of the sites mark the first phase of a multiyear digital outreach plan. To further showcase U.S. dairy internationally, ThinkUSAdairy.org microsites are planned for multiple languages, beginning with Spanish, Chinese, Vietnamese and Arabic.
