Meet the Cheesemakers

Elizabeth met her husband Richard in 1980 while they were both sailing around the world. When they decided to put down roots, they settled on a remote, pristine farm in Oregon overlooking the beautiful Cascade Mountains. They began to grow herbs to meet the new demand for healthier foods and made pesto sauces for the local market. It became incredibly popular, and they rapidly expanded their product line and moved to Phoenix, Oregon.

Pesto Dried Tomato Cheese Torta

Rising Sun's Pesto Dried Tomato Torta has a base layer of creamy white cheese, followed by a layer of green pesto, and topped with a layer of deep red tomato pieces. It has full-bodied parmesan overtones blended with the sweetness of basil and a hint of garlic. Thick, smooth and creamy with small bits of tender/chewy tomato. Low sodium and naturally gluten-free.

Rising Sun Farm's Marionberry Cheese Torta has a sweet and tangy mix of apricot and Marion Blackberry. Blended from cream cheese, it is thick, smooth, and creamy with a pale purple appearance with specks of cranberry and apricot.

Rising Sun Farm's Gorgonzola Cheese Torta features ruby red dried cranberries and chopped hazelnuts over a creamy off-white base with pieces of pear and cranberry and flecks of blue cheese. Its cream cheese flavor is rich and buttery with pungent gorgonzola blended with sweet pears and tangy cranberries, with a finish of smoky notes of toasted hazelnuts.
