Cedar Grove Cheese is a medium-sized family-owned cheese factory that has operated for over 140 years.  Cedar Grove Cheese has always been committed to fulfilling the wants and needs of their customers. They expanded their traditional Colby and Cheddar lines to include several flavored Cheddars, Butterkaese, Muenster, Havarti, Farmers, and Monterey Jack, as well as reduced fat and sodium cheeses. They introduced an organic line in 1996 to offer a quality cheese made from the milk of cows that have not been treated with antibiotics and have been fed only pesticide-free food. They offer a wide variety of artisan cheeses made with cow, sheep, and goat milk. Cedar Grove Cheese is known for its environmental stewardship, including its living machine wastewater treatment system. They have also been a pioneer in urban cheesemaking, establishing Clock Shadow Creamery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Cedar Grove Cheese received the American Cheese Society's Above and Beyond Award for contributions to food safety including the Best Practices Guide for Cheesemakers.
